Description
Trieste is one of the most fascinating cities on the Adriatic and combines Italian lifestyle with a tumultuous Central European history. The port city impresses with magnificent architecture that reminds more of Vienna, Prague, or Budapest than of typical Italian cities.

Besides its Habsburg past, the multicultural atmosphere primarily shapes the cityscape. Italian and Slovenian influences merge here into a unique mix of culture, language, and way of life. Among historic buildings, cozy cafés, and the proximity to the sea, Trieste unfolds its special charm. At the latest, with the scent of freshly brewed coffee, the sound of the waves, and the warm sun, the city reveals its unmistakable Italian soul.
